Apple's warning is particularly focused on fingerprints. Fingerprints are a tracking method that emerged last year. Apple says this technology collects various data from users' devices to create a unique profile, based on which advertisers can show targeted ads to users on the web. Unlike cookies, there is no option to opt-out. Apple says that's why it's so concerning, and Google has also decided to ban it.

Apple's Concern About Google Apps

Apple's warning is not limited to just Chrome. The company says that their Safari browser sets Google as the default search engine. On every search page, users are prompted to switch to the Google app. Apple claims that this app collects more data than Chrome, raising privacy concerns.

What Options Do Users Have?

Changing the browser could be your option, but Apple wants their users to use Safari. Apple says that Safari protects users' privacy. It is introducing new AI tools to avoid tracking and private browsing tools, which will prevent websites from tracking users.
