Before the new year 2026, the government telecom company BSNL has launched an attractive annual recharge plan for prepaid customers. This ₹2799 plan, available from today, i.e., December 26, 2025, has created a stir in the market. The company announced this plan on the microblogging site X, and it comes with a validity of 365 days.
This plan offers 3 GB of high-speed data daily, providing a total of 1095 GB of data throughout the year. Additionally, there is unlimited voice calling and a benefit of 100 SMS per day. When calculated daily, the cost comes to only ₹7.67, which is very affordable. This plan will be an excellent option for data lovers and long-term users.
For comparison, Reliance Jio's cheapest 365-day plan is ₹3599, which is about ₹800 more expensive than BSNL. The Jio plan includes 2.5 GB of high-speed data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS. Additionally, there are extra benefits like a three-month Jio Hotstar subscription and 50 GB cloud storage with the ₹35,100 Gemini Pro plan. However, Jio's daily cost comes to ₹9.86.
This BSNL plan will attract customers due to more data (3 GB vs 2.5 GB) and lower cost compared to Jio. Especially in today's time of increased data consumption, this option is budget-friendly. Prepaid users can now recharge this plan through the BSNL app or retail stores.
