As the demand for SUVs in the Indian auto market is increasing, MG Motors is preparing to launch the new SUV 'MG Majestor' to challenge the dominance of Toyota Fortuner. The company has released an exciting teaser of this SUV before the launch, showcasing glimpses of the car's key features and capabilities. This SUV will officially hit the Indian market on February 12, 2026, intensifying competition in the premium SUV segment.
According to the teaser, the MG Majestor will have 4X4 capability and various terrain modes such as snow, mud, sand, etc. This will make it ideal for off-road driving. The exterior will feature LED headlights, LED DRL, a large grille, and a dual-tone design with 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior will be premium, featuring a 12.3-inch infotainment system, dual-tone theme, Type-C USB charging, push-button start, panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging.
For safety, features like 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, hill assist, BSD, LCA, RCTA, DOW, self-adaptive cruise control, and ADAS will be available. The company has not yet provided official information about engine options, but it is expected that the petrol engine will deliver 184 kW power and 410 Nm torque, while the turbo diesel will come with 160 kW power and 500 Nm torque. Both engines will come with a 4X4 system and 8-speed automatic transmission. The top speed can be up to 190 kmph in petrol and 175 kmph in diesel.
The price is expected to be between 40 to 50 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). This Majestor will give a strong competition to popular SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, providing customers with more options.
