WhatsApp has introduced a very useful and much-awaited feature for Android users. The company has started rolling out the beta version of the voice message transcription feature for Android users. Earlier, the same feature was introduced in the beta version of iOS 25.12.10.17. Now Android users will also get the opportunity to use this smart feature.
This new feature will allow users to see the translation of voice messages in text format. This will make it easier to understand messages during busy times or in places where silence is needed. According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature is currently available in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.25.14.7.
Automatic, which will automatically transcribe all voice messages, Manual, in which the user can transcribe selected messages at their convenience, and Never, which allows the transcription feature to be turned off completely. The most important part of this feature is end-to-end encryption.
The transcription process is completely on-device, so the information is not sent to any external server. Currently, this feature is available only for English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Hindi languages. The company will soon introduce this feature in the stable version for all users. This will definitely bring a positive change in the communication experience of users.
