The suicide of a young female doctor at Phaltan Sub-District Hospital has caused a stir throughout the state. The autopsy report of the deceased doctor has been received by the police, revealing no signs of external assault or injury on the body. The report handed over to the police by the hospital has given a new dimension to the investigation.
In this case, the call detail records (CDR) of the doctor have also been examined. This investigation revealed that the deceased doctor had frequent phone contact with suspended police sub-inspector Gopal Badne and Prashant Bankar. The suspicion deepened as it was found that there was a call with Gopal Badne shortly before the death. In the message written on the hand before the suicide, the doctor mentioned that Badne had sexually assaulted him four times and accused Prashant Bankar of continuous mental and physical harassment.
Police scramble to find the accused's mobile
It has come to light that Gopal Badne hid his mobile phone before surrendering. The phone is still not in police custody, and investigating officers have expressed the possibility that it may contain crucial digital evidence related to the case. This presents a significant challenge for the police to locate the mobile.
Meanwhile, the technical verification of the handwriting on the suicide note found on the doctor's hand is still ongoing, and the report is yet to be received. It is believed that this investigation could reveal the truth of the matter.
