Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood recently opened up about a terrifying incident involving his wife, Sonali Sood, who was involved in a serious car accident on March 24 on the Nagpur highway. The accident, which also involved her sister and nephew, left their vehicle badly mangled, especially at the front. Images from the crash circulated widely on social media, leaving fans and well-wishers in shock.
Now, Sonu Sood has shared a heartfelt video message on his social media, offering crucial details about the accident and stressing an important safety message for all.
In the video, Sonu Sood is seen seated in a car as he speaks directly to his followers. He begins by recounting the incident, saying, “Last week, a very big accident happened in Nagpur. My wife, her sister, and her nephew were in the car. The entire world has seen the condition of the vehicle. If they were saved, it was only because they were wearing their seat belts.”
He went on to highlight a commonly ignored safety measure: rear seat belts. “People sitting in the back usually do not wear seat belts. But that day, something happened that even I found shocking. Just one minute before the accident, my wife buckled her seat belt — and that saved her life, along with her sister and nephew's.”
Sonu Sood emphasized that wearing seat belts is not just the responsibility of those in the front seats. “99 out of 100 people sitting in the back never wear seat belts. They think that safety is only the driver’s responsibility or the front passenger's. That’s not true. This small act can save lives,” he urged.
Fortunately, Sonali Sood is now recovering well, and Sonu took a moment to thank everyone for their support and concern. While the actor has remained away from the film industry for some time, he continues to be actively involved in humanitarian efforts and social awareness campaigns.
Through this video, Sonu Sood has once again used his platform to deliver a powerful and potentially life-saving message to the public — reminding everyone that seat belts are essential, no matter where you're sitting in the vehicle.
