Today has proven to be extremely important for Indian pilot Shubhanshu Shukla and other members of Axiom-4. NASA's SpaceX Dragon craft successfully landed in the Pacific Ocean near the coast of San Diego at 3 PM today. As the craft entered Earth's atmosphere, a momentary sonic boom was also experienced, according to SpaceX.

As part of the Axiom-4 mission, Shubhamshu Shukla worked alongside American astronaut Commander Peggy Whitson, as well as mission specialists Slavos Uznański-Wiśniewski and Tibor Kapu. They left the International Space Station (ISS) at 4:15 AM on July 14, and today their journey successfully concluded.

After this success, Shubhamshu Shukla's entire family has become very emotional. His mother, Asha Shukla, reacted by saying, “I am very happy to hear that he returned safely. We prayed to God for his safety every day. Finally, we are proud that we will meet him in person.”
