As global COVID-19 concerns re-emerge, health and travel experts are warning against travel to five countries currently witnessing a surge in infections. Countries including China, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States have reported a noticeable increase in COVID-19 cases, prompting renewed caution.
Despite much of the world having returned to normalcy following the pandemic, fresh waves of infections—particularly in Hong Kong and Singapore—have raised alarms among health officials. Similar trends are being observed in other regions, including the United States, China, and Taiwan.
Tourism and health experts are now advising the public to avoid non-essential travel to these countries. Travelers are also being urged to strictly follow COVID-19 safety protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and practicing regular hand hygiene.
Meanwhile, India is also witnessing a rise in COVID-19 cases, with the number of active patients climbing to 3,395. Maharashtra and Delhi are among the worst-affected states, reporting 485 and 436 active cases respectively. Maharashtra and Kerala have each reported 7 deaths so far, the highest among all states.
