In a significant retaliatory move under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army has destroyed a major terrorist launchpad located in Sialkot, Pakistan. This action comes in response to a series of drone and missile attacks launched by Pakistan across multiple Indian cities over the past few days.

Launched as a countermeasure to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor marks a decisive shift in India's military posture. According to official sources, the Indian Army successfully intercepted and neutralized all incoming drone and missile threats from Pakistan, ensuring minimal damage on Indian soil.

On Friday, May 9, 2025, Pakistan intensified its offensive by conducting drone strikes across 26 Indian cities. These included key locations such as Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Specific areas targeted were Baramulla, Srinagar, Awantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet, and Lakhi Nala. Despite the scale of the attacks, Indian air defense systems successfully thwarted all attempted incursions.

In a swift and calculated response, the Indian Army targeted and demolished a terrorist launchpad in Sialkot. Intelligence inputs indicated that the site was being used by terrorist groups, with support from the Pakistani military, to coordinate and execute drone attacks on Indian territory. The destruction of this launchpad marks a significant blow to cross-border terror operations.

To reinforce the success of the mission, the Indian Army has released video footage of the strike, showcasing the precision and impact of the operation. The video serves not only as evidence of the Indian Army’s capabilities but also as a clear message to hostile elements operating from across the border.

India’s response to Pakistan's repeated provocations, particularly the drone attacks on the nights of May 8 and 9, underscores its resolve to defend its sovereignty and safeguard its citizens.
