The largest meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Beijing, China, will be held in Tianjin, China, on August 31 and September 1. This conference will be attended by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russia's President Vladimir Putin, China's President Xi Jinping, and Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, along with many other important global leaders.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Liu Bin provided information about the preparation for this meeting while speaking to the media. The conference will also be attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, former Nepalese Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli, and Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu.
Additionally, senior officials from about ten international organizations will also be present. This includes United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev.
Currently, the member countries of SCO are India, Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. After the meeting, many heads of state will also attend the Victory Day parade organized on September 3.
