An Indian youth dies in a shooting by American police
The deceased youth is named Mohammed Nizamuddin, a resident of Mahbubnagar district

(Mohammed Nizamuddin) A shocking incident has come to light where a young man from Telangana, who went to the United States for higher education and career development, was killed in a police shooting. The deceased young man has been identified as Mohammed Nizamuddin (age 30), a resident of Mahbubnagar district, who had been living in the United States since 2016.
According to the information received, the situation escalated after a dispute with a roommate on September 3 in Santa Clara, California. The police were called due to this dispute. However, the police who arrived at the scene ordered Nizamuddin to put down his weapon. Alleging that he did not comply with the order, the police fired shots, resulting in his immediate death.
Nizamuddin started working in the software field after completing his MS from Florida College. He settled in California after receiving a promotion a few years ago. Upon receiving information about this incident, his father, Mohammad Hasanuddin, wrote a letter to the Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar requesting assistance in bringing his son's remains to India. "My son's body is in the hospital, but the exact cause of death is still unclear," he mentioned in the letter.
Relatives have raised serious questions about this incident. “The police acted hastily without proper investigation. Such a major action over a minor dispute is not appropriate,” they said. Meanwhile, along with the family, Majlis Bachao Tehreek spokesperson Amjad Ullah Khan also tweeted, demanding that the Ministry of External Affairs intervene immediately and assist in bringing the body back to India.
