Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar has raised pointed questions regarding the recent ceasefire announcement between India and Pakistan. In a social media post, Ambedkar questioned why the information about the ceasefire was first made public by former U.S. President Donald Trump instead of Indian leaders.

"Why did we hear about the ceasefire from the U.S. President? Why was this announcement not made by our own Prime Minister Narendra Modi or External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar?" Ambedkar asked, expressing concern over the handling of sensitive diplomatic communication.

Ambedkar further remarked that Trump’s statement appeared to portray a sense of generosity and influence over India’s foreign policy decisions. "Donald Trump's announcement seemed like a gesture of gratitude and a display of superiority towards our nation. However, the Ministry of External Affairs had already indicated in its media briefing that the decision was independently made by India," he added.

His remarks have sparked debate over the transparency of India's diplomatic communications and the perceived involvement of foreign powers in matters of national security and foreign policy.
