The pods of the fenugreek plant enhance the taste of amti, curry, and batter. The pods of the fenugreek plant are also very beneficial for our health. It seems that the highest production of fenugreek plant is in our country India. The fenugreek plant is about 25 to 30 feet tall. Its leaves are small, the flowers are usually white in color, but fenugreek with red flowers is also found in some places. The young leaves and flowers of the fenugreek plant are used as a vegetable in some places, but the fenugreek pods are used the most.

When buying chickpea pods, make sure they are young. Chickpea pods, especially the seeds of chickpea pods, are known to increase gallstones. Chickpea pods are thick and hard, while young chickpea pods are thin. Young chickpea pods also cook quickly and taste good.

The leaves and bark of the castor bean are used in medicine. The leaves can be aggravating for gallstones. Therefore, occasionally including the young pods of the castor bean in the diet is considered to be a remedy for flatulence, expectorant and deworming for the general public. Cook one castor bean every morning, add salt, pepper and sea salt to taste and eat it. Eat the pods in this way every day for 15 days and take about one and a half to two teaspoons of castor oil before going to bed at night. This cleanses the stomach the next morning and the worms fall out. This experiment can be done every three months.

In women, for complaints such as delayed menstruation, stomach or back pain during menstruation, making a soup of young pods and mixing half a teaspoon of cumin powder in it is also useful. There are still many medicinal uses of pods.
