The Pakistan government issued a notification in this regard on May 1 and now it is being reported that Bollywood songs have been banned in Pakistan. Pakistan Broadcasting Association Secretary General Shakeel Masood has said that the broadcasting of Indian songs has been stopped immediately from Pakistani FM radio stations across the country.
Indian songs, especially those by singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Mukesh, are popular among Pakistanis and are played daily on FM radio stations here.
