Bank Holidays: Banks will have 13 days off in July, see the complete list

If you have important banking transactions scheduled for July, it’s time to plan ahead. Banks across various parts of the country will remain closed for 13 days in July due to a combination of national holidays, regional festivals, and regular weekly offs.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued the official list of bank holidays for the month, categorized by state. While not all holidays apply nationwide, all banks will be closed on the following weekly holidays:

• Sundays: July 6, 13, 20, and 27

• Second Saturday: July 12

• Fourth Saturday: July 26

• Agartala:

  • July 3 — Khar Puja

  • July 19 — Ker Puja

• Jammu and Srinagar:

  • July 5 — Birth Anniversary of Guru Hargobind Singh Ji

• Shillong:

  • July 14 — Post-Bakri Eid (Eid-ul-Azha)

  • July 17 — Death Anniversary of U Tirot Singh

• Dehradun:

  • July 16 — Harela Festival

• Gangtok (Sikkim):

  • July 28 — Drukpa Tse-ji Festival

These holidays may result in delays for in-person banking services, and customers are advised to make use of online and mobile banking facilities where possible. With longer queues expected before and after holidays, early planning can help avoid inconvenience.
