Just as the world began to breathe easy after the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, fresh concerns have emerged with a noticeable uptick in coronavirus cases across India. According to the latest figures released by the Union Health Ministry, 2,710 active COVID-19 cases have been reported nationwide as of May 30.

Health officials attribute the recent spike to a new strain of the coronavirus, which has led to renewed health alerts in several states. Kerala continues to report the highest number of active cases, with 1,147 infections, accounting for a significant portion of the national tally. Data from May 26 indicated over 1,000 new infections in a single day, underscoring the seriousness of the situation. With rising case numbers in multiple states, health authorities are urging citizens not to let their guard down.

The Union Health Ministry confirmed that the national case count had surpassed 2,000 earlier this week, reaching 2,710 active cases by May 30. Officials continue to monitor the evolving situation closely and have advised state governments to enhance surveillance, testing, and vaccination efforts wherever necessary.

There are 223 active Covid patients in Gujarat, more than 1000 cases were reported as per government data on May 26. The number of corona patients in the country has crossed 2000 and the Union Health Ministry has announced that 2710 cases have been registered across the country till May 30.
