The precision strikes have not only eliminated three key terrorist leaders but have also sparked a wave of national pride across the country.

According to defence sources, the Indian Army successfully neutralized high-profile terrorists including Masood Azhar in Bahawalpur, Hafiz Saeed in Muridke, and Salahuddin in Sialkot. The Indian Air Force destroyed terrorist camps in strategic locations such as Bhimber, Kotli, Sarjal (Sialkot), Mehmoon Joya, Markaz Taiba (Muridke), and Markaz Subhan Allah (Bahawalpur).

Pakistan Responds with Border Shelling

In retaliation, Pakistani forces reportedly opened fire on civilian homes in Rajouri along the border, resulting in the deaths of several civilians. The Indian government has strongly condemned this act, reaffirming its commitment to national security and counterterrorism.

Cricketers Express National Pride

Amid rising patriotic fervor, several Indian cricketers have expressed their solidarity with the armed forces and the nation. Former and current players like Shikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Umesh Yadav, Pragyan Ojha, and RP Singh took to social media to salute the Indian Armed Forces. Their posts featured slogans such as “Jai Hind” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” capturing the sentiment of millions of Indians proud of the military’s decisive action.

The Story Behind ‘Operation Sindoor’

The name Operation Sindoor carries emotional weight. It was chosen in response to the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where innocent civilians—particularly women—witnessed their husbands being executed in front of them. The terrorists deliberately spared the women and metaphorically “wiped the sindoor (vermilion)” from their foreheads.

By naming the mission ‘Sindoor,’ the Indian Army symbolically avenged that tragedy, sending a stern warning: Any attempt to violate the dignity of Indian women will be met with full-force retaliation. The operation serves not only as a tactical military success but as a message that such atrocities will be considered acts of war.

"Fearless in unity. Boundless in strength. India’s shield is her people. There’s no room for terrorism in this world. We’re ONE TEAM!" Sachin Tendulkar posted on social media.

"Agar koi aap par patthar phenke toh uspar Phool Phenko, Lekin Gamle ke saath. Jai Hind #OperationSindoor , what an apt name" Virender Sehwag posted on social media.

Shikhar Dhawan, known for his bold and humorous comments, expressed his stance against terrorism. "India takes a stand against terrorism, Bharat Mata ki Jai!", Shikhar Dhawan has posted on social media.
