On the occasion of the Modi-led Central Government completing 11 years in power, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a press conference in Mumbai today to review the key achievements and welfare initiatives implemented during this period. He was accompanied by BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar and State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
Fadnavis described the 11-year tenure as a journey rooted in the ethos of "Seva, Sushasan, and Garib Kalyan" (Service, Good Governance, and Welfare of the Poor), underlining the transformation from a self-reliant India to a developed India. He emphasized the Modi government’s decisive, transparent, and anti-corruption governance style, which he credited for driving nationwide change.
Fadnavis highlighted massive infrastructure investments in Maharashtra:
Railway projects worth ₹2.5 lakh crore are underway.
Overall infrastructure projects in the state total ₹6 lakh crore.
He compared these figures to the previous UPA government's decade-long tenure, noting that the Modi government has disbursed more funds in a single year.
30 lakh houses distributed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in just one year.
81 crore people received free food grains.
15 crore people benefited from piped water schemes.
12 crore households received toilets.
Over 10 crore loans disbursed under Mudra Yojana.
