A devastating road accident occurred late Friday night on the Shikrapur-Talegaon Dhamdhere road, resulting in the tragic deaths of three young friends. The accident happened when their two-wheeler was struck by an oncoming bus while attempting to overtake another vehicle.
The deceased have been identified as Prathamesh Nandkumar Shelar (18), Harshal Digambar Ghume (19), and Ayush Atul Jadhav (16). All three were riding on the same bike, heading towards Talegaon Dhamdhere, when they attempted to overtake a vehicle in front of them. At that moment, a PMPL bus approaching from the opposite direction collided head-on with their bike.
The impact was so severe that all three youths died instantly at the scene.
The incident has been registered at the Shikrapur Police Station, and an investigation is currently underway. According to preliminary information, two of the deceased were residents of Talegaon Dhamdhere, while the third was from Maval taluka.
This heartbreaking accident has cast a shadow of mourning over the local community and among the victims’ families and friends.
