There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in both eastern and western parts of Uttar Pradesh between August 22 and 25. The weather department has predicted that the low-pressure area forming in the Bay of Bengal may strengthen further in the next 24-48 hours, intensifying the monsoon movements.
As a result, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in southern Uttar Pradesh. Alerts have been issued in several districts due to this. Recently, the intensity of rain had decreased in the eastern districts of Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, a yellow alert has been issued for some districts in anticipation of the upcoming rain.

Additionally, meteorologists have indicated the possibility of heavy rainfall in Varanasi, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Siddharth Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Saharanpur, Azamgarh, Bijnor, Barabanki, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Basti, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, S.S. Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, and surrounding areas.
