A shocking incident has come to light in Aligarh. Just six days before the girl's wedding, her mother-in-law absconded with her 25-year-old son-in-law. The incident has created a stir in the entire area and the family is facing a humiliating situation in the society.
Jitendra Kumar, the woman's husband, who was away on business in Bengaluru, said he had suspected a closeness between his wife and future son-in-law but chose to remain silent, hoping the marriage would bring stability.
“My wife has ruined our daughter’s life. She has brought disgrace to the family. I want to see her face and ask why she did this,” he said, demanding swift action from the police.
The police have registered a missing persons complaint, along with a case of theft for the missing jewelry and cash. According to authorities, the mobile phones of both individuals are switched off, and their last known location was within district limits.
“Both are adults, and their relationship is consensual, which means no criminal charges can be filed on that front. However, the theft complaint is being investigated, and we are actively working to trace them,” said Circle Officer Mahesh Kumar.
The incident has turned the spotlight on the family, once considered respectable in the locality, now facing public ridicule and social isolation. What was to be a moment of celebration has turned into a matter of emotional trauma and community gossip.
This case has reignited discussions around trust, family boundaries, and the emotional toll of betrayal, leaving behind a trail of legal complexities and personal devastation.
