Shiv Sena candidates Ravi Patil and Nitin Patil accused BJP of distributing money in Dombivli Ward No. 29. They caught two men and a woman BJP worker. However, the police did not file any case, leading to dissatisfaction among Shiv Sena officials. The next day, allegations of money distribution in the same area surfaced again. This time, Shiv Sena candidates questioned BJP's unopposed winning candidate Vishu Pednekar and candidate Arya Natekar's husband Somnath Natekar about the money distribution. This escalated into a fierce clash between the two groups.
MaharashtraPoliticsIn this clash, four people were injured. The police have filed a mutual complaint in this case, and based on Somnath Natekar's complaint, a case of attempted murder has been filed against Shiv Sena candidates Ravi Patil, Nitin Patil, and five others. Five people have also been arrested in this case. Meanwhile, the husband of the injured BJP candidate, Somnath Natekar, and Shiv Sena candidate Nitin Patil are receiving treatment at a private hospital. However, after a case was filed against Shiv Sena candidate Nitin Patil, BJP officials and workers took to the streets demanding the arrest of Shiv Sena candidates and staged a protest. Following this demand, the police took Ravi Patil and Nitin Patil into custody from the hospital where they were receiving treatment at midnight. However, after being taken into custody, their condition deteriorated, and they were admitted to Shastrinagar Hospital in Dombivli. There, a large number of Shiv Sena officials, workers, and Shiv Sena candidates and former councilors from Kalyan Dombivli gathered and expressed intense anger against the police administration.
According to the doctor's advice, as both were in serious condition, they were shifted to the government hospital in Thane. However, during this action, Kalyan rural MLA Rajesh More made serious allegations against the police, stating that such action is condemnable when someone is ill and has high blood pressure, and if anything happens to the patient's life, the police administration will be responsible, he clarified. Meanwhile, Nitin Patil's wife and their relatives and women expressed anger outside the hospital, alleging that they were moved from the hospital without any information. If anything happens to my husband, the administration will be responsible. Whose oppression is this exactly? They have raised this question. After this entire incident, there is an atmosphere of intense anger among Shiv Sena workers, officials, and candidates in Dombivli. On one hand, it was being said that there was a friendly contest between BJP and Shiv Sena in Ward 29, but after allegations of money distribution and assault, both parties are now seen directly confronting each other. Currently, tension remains in Dombivli, and additional police security has been deployed.
