According to reports, the robbers overpowered on-duty staff, restrained them by tying their hands and feet, and swiftly executed the heist. A constable who was present on night duty at the location immediately rushed to the Kage Police Station to lodge a formal complaint.
In response to the theft, the Kage Police have deployed 20 to 25 personnel at the Avaada company plant to intensify security and investigate the incident. Senior officers have visited the site, and a manhunt has been launched to trace the accused.
“We are examining CCTV footage and gathering clues. This appears to be a well-planned robbery,” said a senior police official.
This is not the first time Avaada company has made headlines. The company was previously in the spotlight following the murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh of Massajog village. The premises of the company had become a hotspot for gang rivalry involving Santosh Deshmukh and Vishnu Chate.
It is alleged that tensions between the two groups escalated on the company premises and eventually led to a conspiracy to assassinate Deshmukh, which was executed in Pune. While there is no immediate link established between that incident and the recent robbery, authorities are not ruling out the possibility of criminal elements being connected.
Police are investigating multiple angles, including inside involvement and possible gang connections, as the attackers appeared to be well-informed about the layout and operations of the facility.
The authorities have urged the public to come forward with any information related to the robbery. Meanwhile, the local community and employees remain in fear, as the brazen nature of the crime has sent shockwaves through the area.
