On the issue of law and order in the state, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction MP Sanjay Raut has launched a strong attack on the BJP and the state government. “BJP is running a regime of goons in the state,” he made a serious allegation and directly questioned why Minister Bharat Gogawale's son is still not found.
While speaking to the media, Sanjay Raut said that while serious crimes are happening in the state, it appears that the accused are being protected. “Action is taken swiftly against the children of ordinary citizens, but investigations are delayed in cases related to the families of those in power,” he alleged. Raut questioned the government's stance, stating that the police investigation in the case of Minister Bharat Gogavale's son is proceeding at a slow pace.
Raut further said that the law should be the same for everyone. “If an ordinary citizen is guilty, action is taken immediately. Then why are there different standards for the children of ministers from the ruling party?” he questioned. He also alleged that crime is increasing in the state and that criminals are being given shelter.
Meanwhile, due to Sanjay Raut's statement, the political atmosphere has heated up and a response from the BJP is likely. An official reaction from Minister Bharat Gogawale or the government has not yet been received in this regard.
