A shocking incident has come to light from Ramabai Nagar in the Rajura area of Chandrapur district, where a 17-year-old minor boy allegedly killed a woman in a fit of rage after she refused to give him cigarettes on credit.

The deceased has been identified as Kavita Raipure, aged 53, who ran a small grocery shop in the locality. The gruesome murder reportedly took place five days ago, but the case came to light after a sustained investigation by the local police.

According to police sources, the accused had approached Raipure’s shop and became agitated when she refused to provide him with cigarettes without payment. Later that night, he allegedly returned with a sharp weapon and fatally attacked the woman at her residence.

Following the incident, the Rajura police launched a detailed probe, examining CCTV footage and tracking the suspect's movements. The investigation eventually led to the identification and arrest of the minor, who confessed to the crime during interrogation.

The police have recovered the weapon used in the murder and confirmed that further legal action is underway. The case has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about rising juvenile crime and the safety of small business owners.

Authorities have assured that the investigation will be conducted thoroughly, and appropriate action will be taken under the Juvenile Justice Act.
