Double star symbol in front of duplicate names
In the voters' list of local self-government bodies, a double star symbol (**) will be marked in front of the name of a potential duplicate voter. Therefore, the person whose name has this symbol must provide information about where they will be voting. If such a voter exercises their right to vote at one location, information will be provided at the other location accordingly. This shows that the Election Commission has taken precautions this time to ensure that the person cannot vote in two places.
For these municipal council and municipal panchayat elections, 288 election decision officers and 288 assistant election decision officers have been appointed. Additionally, 66,775 officers and employees have been deployed.
