The entire Maharashtra is engulfed in grief due to the unfortunate death of the state's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash. Intense reactions are emerging in the political circle following this incident, with various leaders raising different questions. Maharashtra's Cabinet Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has expressed confusion over this accident and raised many questions.
Chhagan Bhujbal said, “I still do not understand how exactly the plane landed there. The airport runway is large, it is not a small space. Even so, many questions arise about how this accident happened. Whether there was a technical fault in the plane or it was a pilot error will only be clear after investigation.” While landing at Baramati airport on Wednesday, Ajit Pawar's plane lost control and crashed into the area adjacent to the landing strip.
According to eyewitnesses, the plane skidded during landing and crashed with a loud noise within moments. There were five consecutive explosions after the accident, which caused the plane to catch fire. Within minutes, the entire plane was engulfed in flames. In this horrific accident, the plane was completely burnt to ashes, and Ajit Pawar along with five others died on the spot. After the accident, Ajit Pawar's body was taken to a hospital in Baramati, where a large crowd of family members, supporters, and leaders has gathered.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed strong displeasure over the political statements that have started over this incident. “It is extremely unfortunate that politics is being done even over someone's death. Even in such sensitive times, some people are engaging in low-level politics,” he expressed his anger. He clearly stated that Ajit Pawar was a very popular leader and doing politics over his demise is akin to hurting the sentiments of the entire Maharashtra.
What did Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee say?
However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed suspicion over the accident, suggesting the possibility of a political conspiracy. “When even political leaders are not safe, what can be said about the safety of ordinary citizens?” she questioned. She stated that she only trusts the Supreme Court in this matter, raising questions about other investigative agencies. The accidental death of Ajit Pawar has spread mourning not only in Maharashtra but across the entire country, with questions and political accusations surrounding the incident becoming more intense.
