Making Sunetra Tai the Deputy Chief Minister will be very appropriate, and we have started the process in that direction. The decision will be implemented this afternoon after completing the official process with the consent of the MLAs and the party.”
Stating that discussions have taken place with the Chief Minister, Bhujbal also clarified that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is providing full cooperation. “Perhaps the proposal will be sent to the Governor today itself and the oath-taking ceremony will be completed,” he indicated. When asked about Sharad Pawar's role, Bhujbal avoided speaking on the subject. “Currently, the most important position held by the Nationalist Congress Party is the Deputy Chief Minister's post. Therefore, it is necessary to hand over the reins properly to Sunetra Tai. She will make the next decision herself,” said Bhujbal.
