Against the backdrop of the ongoing municipal elections in the state, Thackeray group's MP Sanjay Raut has launched a strong criticism against the ruling party. Accusing that 'Maharashtra is being deceived,' Raut has made a serious allegation against Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for his indifference towards the Marathi language.

In a meeting at Vasai-Virar, citing the Chief Minister's speech in Hindi, they criticized, saying, “The Chief Minister has no concern or love for Marathi.” Sanjay Raut said, “Maharashtra is a state of Marathi people. Here, it is expected that the Chief Minister gives the highest place to the Marathi language. By giving a speech in Hindi in Vasai-Virar, he has insulted the Marathi people. At least the honor of the Peshwas should have been maintained,” Raut said in sharp words. He also accused the ruling party of consistently taking a double standard on the issue of Marathi identity.

Meanwhile, Raut also targeted the BJP over BJP leader Annamalai's controversial statement. “The BJP has not even condemned Annamalai's statement. This clarifies the BJP's stance,” he said. He also accused BJP leaders of deliberately hurting Marathi sentiments. Against the backdrop of elections, Raut made serious allegations against the ruling party on the issue of bogus voters. “We will drive away bogus voters. BJP and Shinde group are trying to stay in power by committing malpractices in elections,” he claimed. He also alleged that BJP and Shinde group workers were openly distributing money in some places.

Sanjay Raut further stated that elections are a festival of democracy, but the ruling party is tarnishing it. He also warned, “Maharashtra will never tolerate this method of deceiving the public and maintaining power through money.” He clarified that protests will be held on the streets against such practices in the future. Due to Raut's allegations, the political atmosphere in the state has heated up, and everyone is keen to see how the ruling party responds.
