Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Jalna are now prominent cities on the industrial map of Maharashtra. The 10,000 acres of industrial land already acquired under the 'DMIC' (Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor) has run out and not a single plot is available. Considering this growing demand, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that another 8,000 acres of land will be acquired and made available for industrial purposes.
Fadnavis was speaking at a meeting of entrepreneurs organized by CMIA. In this meeting, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, Commerce Minister Jayakumar Rawal, Energy Minister Atul Save, MP Dr. Bhagwat Karad and many senior dignitaries and entrepreneurs were present in large numbers.
Sambhajinagar's attractiveness is increasing... 'Toyota' is also preferred
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has been chosen by renowned companies due to its state-of-the-art infrastructure, industry-friendly environment, trained manpower and dynamic government decision-making process. The fact that an international company like Toyota has chosen Sambhajinagar despite the full cooperation of the Karnataka government is a good example of the industrial potential here.
Steps towards defense cluster
Another important step in industrial growth is the preparation for the construction of a 'Defense Park'. In a meeting held in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, a demand was made to create a special park for the defense industry in one thousand acres. Chief Minister Fadnavis requested the Central Government to also cooperate in the expansion of this industrial sector.
Organized and ambitious entrepreneurs are the true strength of the city
"I meet entrepreneurs from many cities, but the feeling of entrepreneurs in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar coming together and working for the development of the city is not seen anywhere else," the Chief Minister said. He further said, "Today, the 10,000 acres of DMIC are full. New industries are lined up. The next step is to acquire another 8,000 acres of land to meet this demand."
Building as a hub of industries
The Sambhajinagar-Jalna confluence is now emerging as a new and credible option not only in Maharashtra but also in the country's industrial landscape. With the government's initiative and the active participation of entrepreneurs, there are clear signs that this land will soon become a hotspot for national and international investment.
