The weather has suddenly changed across the state and the entire country, with a mix of rain and heat being observed in February. During this period, which is usually marked by severe cold, the cold has almost disappeared from the state, and cloudy weather, heat, and the possibility of rain have been predicted in many areas. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in many states, including Maharashtra, and citizens have been urged to remain alert.

Significant fluctuations in temperature are being observed in the state. The lowest temperature in the state has been recorded at Niphad in Nashik district, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.4 degrees Celsius. However, while there is a chill in the morning, the heat is increasing in the afternoon, and it is likely to feel hot. According to the weather department, there is a possibility of a decrease in the minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degrees in the next 48 hours, which may increase the intensity of cold in some areas again.

Along with the weather in Mumbai, the issue of air quality is also becoming serious. The air quality index (AQI) in Mumbai has once again reached the 'poor' category, rising to 204. The PM 10 level has been recorded at 180, while the PM 2.5 level is at 151. This has created a hazy atmosphere in the city, affecting visibility. Fog and hazy conditions are expected in the morning, while the sky is likely to remain clear in the afternoon. With the maximum temperature in Mumbai expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius, the heat will be felt.

However, severe cold persists in the northern states of the country. The minimum temperature in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, northern Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Bihar is between 5 to 10 degrees Celsius. Heavy rain warnings have been issued in some areas, which may cause inconvenience to citizens.

The direct impact of constant weather changes is being seen on the health of citizens. Doctors report an increase in complaints such as colds, fever, body aches, and headaches. Therefore, in changing weather, it is necessary for citizens to take care, drink enough water, and take necessary precautions. On one hand, there is heavy rain, on the other, severe cold, and in some areas, intense heat, creating a strange weather experience for the citizens, with the weather department predicting that the weather will remain unstable for the next few days.
