New Delhi: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation is bringing a major digital facility for its millions of members. EPFO is preparing to launch a new mobile app in March or April, and currently, the testing process of this app is underway. After resolving technical glitches, this app will be officially made available to members.

Currently, EPFO services are available through the 'UMANG' app. However, the upcoming new app will be different and more advanced than UMANG. In this app, members' bank accounts will be directly linked. Also, this app will be compatible with 'BHIM' and other UPI apps. As a result, members will have the facility to transfer their PF amount directly to their bank account via UPI.

In the new system, members will have to log in to the app and select the necessary options. Then, the transaction can be completed by entering the UPI pin. This will make the PF withdrawal process more simple, transparent, and fast. Currently, members have to go through various stages to withdraw PF, but with the new app, this process can be completed in a few minutes.

In addition, the app will have passbook balance check, contribution details, claim status tracking, and other essential services available. Members will get their account information with a single click. The digital facility will reduce the need for paperwork and avoid delays in office procedures. Currently, EPFO is testing this app on 100 dummy accounts. This testing process is considered important to ensure transactions remain secure and error-free. After the testing is complete, this app will be made available to all members.

According to experts, this facility will provide great relief to millions of employees. Especially in emergency situations, it will be possible to get the PF amount immediately. This is considered another important step towards the Digital India initiative. Overall, with EPFO's new mobile app, PF management will become more modern, convenient, and faster. Members will now have easier control over their funds, and the transaction process will become more transparent.
