Speaking exclusively to a reporter from Lokshahi News, Karuna Munde welcomed the decision, which reportedly acknowledged her marital relationship with Dhananjay Munde.
“I thank the court for hearing my side and recognizing that we were married. I am satisfied with this decision,” she said.
Karuna Munde also made a bold demand for the revocation of Dhananjay Munde’s MLA status, claiming he is unfit to hold public office due to his personal actions.
“My fight will continue. Much more will come to light in the days ahead. Dhananjay Munde’s MLA position must be cancelled,” she stated.
In a deeply emotional account, Karuna revealed that she had once attempted suicide, citing the trauma caused by Dhananjay Munde’s alleged actions. She further claimed that her mother also died by suicide as a result of the distressing situation involving her family.
“I tried to end my life because of what he did to my sister. My mother couldn’t bear it either. She also ended her life,” Karuna said, holding back tears.
She issued a warning to those she described as “cruel people”, vowing not to back down:
“I will teach Dhananjay Munde and people like him a lesson. I will not spare anyone responsible for our suffering. I will make sure he is forced to resign as an MLA.”
The legal dispute between Karuna and Dhananjay Munde has gained public attention over the past year, drawing support from various social groups and women's rights advocates. While this ruling marks a turning point in Karuna Munde’s legal campaign, the broader case—both legal and political—continues to unfold.
Karuna Munde has indicated that she will pursue further action to seek justice and accountability.
