In a heartrending display of a father’s love, a tragic incident unfolded in Pal village on April 9, 2025, where a farmer gave his life to save his son from drowning. Kishore Tejrao Jadhav, aged 42, drowned while rescuing his son from a water-filled farm pond, leaving the entire village in mourning.

According to reports, Kishore Jadhav had gone to his five-acre farm in Group No. 52 in Pal Shivara along with his son and nephew for routine work. The farm pond was filled to the brim with water. While removing a pipe near the edge, the boy lost his balance and fell into the pond.

Without a moment’s hesitation, and despite not knowing how to swim, Jadhav jumped into the water to rescue his son. Displaying remarkable courage, he managed to push the boy toward the bank, where his nephew helped pull the child out to safety. However, in the absence of any help for himself, Jadhav could not escape the water and tragically drowned.

The area was filled with cries for help, but assistance arrived too late. The boy and his cousin ran to the village and informed the elders, after which the fire brigade was called. Jadhav’s body was finally recovered around 4 p.m. and was sent to the Phulambri Rural Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Kishore Jadhav is survived by his wife, two children, and elderly parents. His death has cast a deep shadow of grief over his family and the entire village of Pal. The community has come together to salute his bravery, recognizing his selfless act as the ultimate expression of a father's love.
