Mumbai High Tide : High tide in the sea from 4 to 7 December 2025, appeal to citizens from the administration

From 4 to 7 December 2025, there will be a continuous high tide in the sea for 3 days. During this tide, waves higher than four and a half meters will surge in the sea.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has issued a warning that there will be continuous high tides in the sea from 4 to 7 December 2025. During this period, the height of the waves surging in the sea will be more than four and a half meters, and in some places, the waves will reach up to five meters. Therefore, the administration has appealed to citizens to avoid going to the seashore.

According to the information provided by the Municipal Corporation's Emergency Management Department, at 12:39 midnight on December 6, the highest waves, measuring 5.03 meters in height, are expected. Similarly, on December 7 at 1:27 a.m., waves measuring 5.01 meters in height will surge. The remaining tides will also be more than four meters high.

On the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Day, a large crowd gathers at Chaityabhoomi and Shivaji Park area on December 6. Therefore, citizens visiting this area have been specially instructed to avoid going near the seashore. The police and the municipal corporation will provide guidance from time to time, and everyone has been urged to follow the rules.

Schedule of high tides from 4 to 7 December:

– 4 December: 11:52 PM – 4.96 meters

– 5 December: 11:30 AM – 4.14 meters

– 6 December: 12:39 AM – 5.03 meters

– 6 December: 12:20 PM – 4.17 meters

– 7 December: 1:27 AM – 5.01 meters

– 7 December: 1:10 PM – 4.15 meters

During high tide, the sea level rises and waves advance rapidly. Since waves higher than 4.5 meters are considered dangerous, the administration has urged citizens to take special precautions.
