MNS President Raj Thackeray has once again strongly criticized the central government over the rapidly growing empire of entrepreneur Gautam Adani. Directly questioning, 'How did Gautam Adani become so big in just ten years?' Raj Thackeray accused the government of having an indirect hand in this growth. Against the backdrop of municipal elections, Raj Thackeray is currently on a campaign tour, and today in Pune, he sharply criticized the government over the Adani issue.

In a public meeting previously held in Mumbai, Raj Thackeray criticized the central government by showing the expansion of the Adani group's business through a map. Continuing on the same issue while speaking in Pune, he once again questioned the government's policies. Raj Thackeray said, “The central government handed over 7 to 8 airports directly to Gautam Adani. Not a single one of these airports was built by Adani himself. Only the Navi Mumbai airport has been developed by Adani.” Clarifying that he is not against industry, he said, “I am not against industry, but I am against an industry that grows on the strength of the government.”

Speaking about the cement industry, Raj Thackeray said, “In the cement business where Adani was never present, they directly acquired companies like Ultratech and today they have reached the second position in the country. How was this leap possible?” He raised this question. He also demanded that the government should answer which banks and financial institutions were forced by the government to provide financial assistance to Adani.

Further speaking, Raj Thackeray also warned of potential danger. “Tomorrow, a single person can hold the entire country to ransom. The country has seen from the example of Indigo Airlines how serious the consequences are if a company's business comes to a halt. If everything collapses tomorrow, jobs will be lost, the country will come to a standstill,” he said.

If an attempt is made to control the cities of Maharashtra in a similar manner, it will pose a major threat to the state, Raj Thackeray has warned. Meanwhile, after the Thackeray brothers criticized Adani in a rally in Mumbai, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also responded with a strong speech. Therefore, there are signs that the political atmosphere in the state is heating up over the Adani issue ahead of the municipal elections.
