The man, identified as Chandrashekhar Pandit Rao Kohad, is originally from Betul district in Madhya Pradesh and has been working as a laborer in Nagpur for the past few days.
According to reports, Kohad lives in a rented accommodation and earns his livelihood through manual labor. The staggering tax notice—₹314 crore 79 lakh 87 thousand 83—has left him and his family in disbelief. The laborer reportedly fell ill after receiving the notice and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. His family members are said to be in a state of shock and distress over the development.
