Nagpur Laborer Shocked After Receiving ₹314 Crore Income Tax Notice

It is being reported that a laborer in Nagpur has received a notice of Rs 314 crore from the Income Tax Department.

In a shocking incident, a daily-wage laborer residing in Nagpur has reportedly received an Income Tax notice amounting to ₹314.79 crore. The man, identified as Chandrashekhar Pandit Rao Kohad, is originally from Betul district in Madhya Pradesh and has been working as a laborer in Nagpur for the past few days.

According to reports, Kohad lives in a rented accommodation and earns his livelihood through manual labor. The staggering tax notice—₹314 crore 79 lakh 87 thousand 83—has left him and his family in disbelief. The incident has sparked concerns about potential errors or misuse of personal identification in financial transactions.

The laborer reportedly fell ill after receiving the notice and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. His family members are said to be in a state of shock and distress over the development.

Chandrashekhar Kohad has urged the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter to determine how such a massive transaction could be linked to his name.

As the case garners public attention, questions are being raised about data accuracy, potential identity theft, and the processes used by financial and tax authorities in issuing such high-value notices.
