Riddhi Vanne

In a major national security development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Motiram Jat on charges of espionage and leaking confidential information to Pakistan.

Jat was apprehended in Delhi on May 26 following a detailed intelligence-led investigation. Authorities allege that he had been providing sensitive military information to Pakistani intelligence operatives for the past two years.

According to sources, Motiram Jat was transferred just five days prior to the Pahalgam terror attack, raising concerns about potential links between the security breach and recent militant activities. The investigation is currently focused on tracing the full extent of the information leaked and identifying any other individuals who may be involved.

The NIA has not yet disclosed the exact nature of the classified data shared, but officials confirm that the matter poses a serious threat to national security.

Further interrogation and digital forensics are underway to uncover the full scope of the espionage network.
