The entire Maharashtra is engulfed in grief due to the accidental death of the state's Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar. After Ajit Pawar's death in a plane crash in Baramati, a three-day mourning period has been declared in the state. However, barely 24 hours after Ajitdada's funeral, political movements have started in his name, causing Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) leader and MP Sanjay Raut to express intense anger.

While interacting with the media, Sanjay Raut strongly criticized the discussions about the Deputy Chief Minister's post and the potential merger of the Nationalist Congress Party that started after Ajit Pawar's demise. “Maharashtra has not yet recovered from the shock of Ajit Dada's departure. In such a situation, people who are doing politics in his name are inhumane,” Raut reprimanded in harsh words.

Political discussion is inhumane – Raut

“Ajitdada was cremated just yesterday. His departure is not just the loss of a leader, but the loss of a capable person. The greatest impact is on his family, grassroots workers, and common people,” Raut said, adding that this is not the time to discuss ministerial positions, deputy chief ministership, or power. “For the next 15 to 20 days, there should be no political discussion. Playing leadership games at such a time is a sign of inhumanity,” he also clarified.

The family lost the breadwinner

The demise of Ajit Pawar has been a major blow to the Pawar family. “The family is completely shattered. There are tears in everyone's eyes. In such a situation, it is inappropriate to discuss their family matters or internal party decisions,” said Raut. He labeled those discussing who will become a minister or who will lead as “irresponsible.” “If anyone is bringing up this topic, whether they are a minister or an MLA, they are inhumane,” he also said.

Investigation of the plane crash is necessary

After this incident, Sanjay Raut strongly demanded an investigation into the crash. “The operation of the aircraft comes under the jurisdiction of the DGCA. They have control over the pilot, maintenance, and the validity of the aircraft. Then how does such an accident happen?” he questioned. Raut said that information is emerging that there is no radar, air traffic control (ATC), and adequate systems at Baramati airport, stating, “If this is true, then it is a serious matter. Important people like Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar, and Gautam Adani land at this airport. Then who is responsible for security?” He demanded that a thorough investigation of this accident should be conducted and action should be taken against those responsible.

Withdraw the allegations – True Tribute

Regarding BJP giving full-page advertisements to pay tribute to Ajit Pawar, Raut said that paying tribute is a good thing. However, “The same BJP had accused Ajit Pawar of a scam worth 70,000 crores. If there is real love for Dada today, then withdraw those allegations. That will be the true tribute to him,” he demanded. “Do not just celebrate anniversaries, do not give advertisements. Withdraw the false allegations unconditionally,” Raut said, adding, “Those who are calling him an excellent administrator today were the ones making scam allegations yesterday. This hypocrisy should stop.”
