During the emotionally charged proceedings, Karuna claimed that Dhananjay Munde was attempting to tarnish her reputation through calculated conspiracies. Responding to arguments from Munde’s legal team—which asserted that documents submitted by Karuna were forged—she made several grave allegations.
“I was offered heroin, but I stayed loyal to my husband. Dhananjay Munde was offering ₹20 crore to anyone who could make me fall in love and marry me,” she told the court.
Breaking down in tears, Karuna accused Munde of subjecting her to various forms of harassment. “I am being harassed in numerous ways. Sometimes people are jailed, goons are sent to my house, and even police are stationed outside my residence,” she said. She further alleged that a conspiracy was underway to defame and emotionally destabilize her.
Karuna added that her loyalty to Munde cost her potential opportunities in the film industry:
“Big directors offered me roles in movies, but I turned them down because I dedicated my life to my husband.”
She alleged that individuals including Raj Ghanwat, Purushottam Kendra, and Tejas Thakkar were acting as brokers in a plot to exploit her emotions for the substantial financial incentive offered by Munde.
Addressing the media after the court hearing, Karuna asserted that she had been Dhananjay Munde’s first wife since 1996.
“I have evidence to prove our marriage. We travelled the world together. My visa is affixed to his passport. You can verify it. We have visited many countries,” she claimed.
Karuna also emphasized financial ties with Munde, stating, “He was the guarantor for my loans—not Rajshree’s. I had a joint bank account with him, which Rajshree never did.”
The dramatic accusations have further intensified what is already a high-profile and emotionally charged legal battle. As the court continues to hear the case, the spotlight remains firmly fixed on the allegations and counter-allegations that could have significant legal and personal implications for both parties.
