MNS-Thackeray group : In the backdrop of the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections, the alliance between MNS and the Thackeray group is rapidly progressing. Although the allocation of most wards between the two parties has already been decided, there were still disagreements in some areas. Discussions were stalled over some wards in Dadar, Sewri, Bhandup, and Vikhroli.

In a meeting held at Matoshree on Monday in the presence of Uddhav Thackeray, the dispute regarding ward numbers 203, 204, and 205 in the Sewri assembly constituency was resolved. According to this resolution, two wards in Sewri were given to the Thackeray group, while one ward was allocated to MNS. The meeting was attended by Bala Nandgaonkar from MNS, Sudhir Salvi from the Thackeray group, and MP Anil Desai. Everyone discussed together and finalized the allocation of seats in Sewri.

After this, discussions are now underway on the remaining wards in the areas of Bhandup, Vikhroli, Dadar, and Mahim. Both parties have claimed Ward numbers 109, 110, 114, and 115 in Vikhroli and Bhandup. Similarly, there is a demand from both parties for Ward numbers 192, 193, and 194 in the Dadar and Mahim area. To resolve this issue, Vishakha Raut, Anil Desai, MLA Sunil Raut, and MP Sanjay Dina Patil are present at Matoshree and are discussing with MNS's Bala Nandgaonkar and Nitin Sardesai. There is a possibility that the seat allocation will be finalized today and the official announcement of the alliance will be made.

The official alliance between the Thackeray group and MNS may be announced today or tomorrow. A large press conference or gathering is being planned for this. The event is likely to take place at one of the locations: Nesco in Goregaon, Bangur Nagar Ground, or Worli Dome. The final decision regarding this will be made today. Additionally, discussions on seat sharing in other municipal corporations have reached the final stage.

Meanwhile, tension has increased over Ward No. 114 in Bhandup. Former MLA Ramesh Korgaonkar from the Thackeray group is insisting on getting a nomination for his wife from this seat. On the other hand, there is a demand from MNS to reserve this seat for former corporator Anisha Majgaonkar. Anisha Majgaonkar was elected from here in 2012, but in 2017, Ramesh Korgaonkar defeated her. Therefore, everyone is focused on who will get Ward No. 114.
