Eknath Shinde and Sanjay Raut's meeting, which caused a stir in the state's political circles, has finally been clarified by Raut. “The meeting with Shinde was completely unexpected. It happened suddenly, and such meetings keep happening in politics,” said Sanjay Raut, MP of Shiv Sena Thackeray faction. After this meeting, various political speculations arose, and against this backdrop, Raut has clarified his stance.
Speaking to the media, Sanjay Raut said, “There is nothing wrong in meeting and talking to each other in politics. This was not any secret or planned political meeting.” He firmly stated that no political meaning should be derived from the meeting with Shinde. However, this meeting has sparked new discussions among the ruling and opposition parties.
In the current political situation in the state, the conflict between the Thackeray faction and the Shinde faction is intense. In such a situation, the meeting of key leaders from both factions raised many eyebrows. Some speculated that there was a political message behind it, while others started discussing possible equations. However, Raut dismissed all these speculations, saying, “It is not appropriate to immediately link such meetings to political maneuvers.”
Raut further said, “While working in Maharashtra politics for many years, there is communication with various leaders. Even if there are differences, the doors of communication do not close.” He clarified that there has been no change in the stance and political direction of the Thackeray group. Meanwhile, no official response has been given by the Eknath Shinde group on this meeting. However, this unexpected meeting has given new momentum to political discussions. Everyone is focused on what this meeting, held on the eve of municipal elections, indicates for the future. Nevertheless, the explanation given by Sanjay Raut has somewhat paused the discussions for now.
