A series of megablocks has started for pre non-interlocking work at Karjat station in the Mumbai division of Central Railway. This is now directly affecting the local service. A special traffic block has been taken on 3rd, 4th, and 10th October for this work. During this period, the local service on the Neral-Karjat and Khopoli-Karjat routes will be completely disrupted. Due to these changes, thousands of employees and students traveling on this suburban route are likely to face significant inconvenience.

According to the information provided by Central Railway, this important pre non-interlocking work has been undertaken for the reorganization of Karjat Yard. A megablock will be taken today, October 3, from 11:20 AM to 6 PM. Additionally, on October 4, a megablock will be taken from 11:20 AM to 4:45 PM. After that, on October 10, there will be a megablock from 11:20 AM to 4:20 PM. This block will be from Bhivpuri station, Jambrung cabin, Thakurwadi, Nagnath cabin to Karjat Yard. Accordingly, there will be no impact on the schedule of long-distance trains and locals from October 5 to October 9.

Meanwhile, during the block period, the routes of suburban trains will be changed. Accordingly, on October 3, there will be no up and down local services available between Neral – Karjat and Karjat – Khopoli. Also, between October 4 and 10, there will be no up and down local services available between Karjat and Khopoli. Additionally, passengers dependent on the Karjat-Khopoli route will have to endure significant inconvenience on October 3, 4, and 10. Especially on October 3, as the Neral-Karjat route is closed, passengers in this area are urged by the government to use alternative transport options such as ST buses, private taxis, or auto rickshaws from Neral onwards.
