On the occasion of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's birthday, a free health camp was organized under the 'Janvishwas Week' in Shanimandal village, Nandurbar taluka, on Saturday. State Agriculture Minister and Guardian Minister of Nandurbar district, Manikrao Kokate, made a special appearance at this camp.
Canceling their planned tour from Dhule district, Kokate directly arrived at Shanmandal. Their sudden and early arrival slightly confused the local office bearers and workers of the NCP. Speaking from the platform at the camp, Kokate mentioned that some officials from the Shinde faction, an ally in the state, have requested assistance for drought-affected farmers. Particularly, representatives of the Shanmandal Gram Panchayat have highlighted that compensation has not been received for the onion crop damaged due to unseasonal rains.
Upon reaching the village, Kokate visited the Shani temple and performed a special prayer. In his speech, he clearly stated, "May the drought in the state be alleviated, may the farmers' difficulties end, and may good days come in the lives of the people," for which he prayed to Shanishwar Maharaj.
Without mentioning the various political and personal crises they have faced recently, they also requested Shani Dev to 'remove the troubles from the lives of people like us'. A few days ago, NCP President Ajit Pawar had announced that a final decision on Kokate's position as Agriculture Minister would be made soon. Therefore, it is being said that Kokate's prayer is an attempt to find a way out of political and personal struggles. Before the district tour on Sunday, journalists tried to communicate with them, but they preferred to remain silent and directly reached the Shani temple.
