Procam International's MD, JT, Vivek Singh said, “The philanthropic pillar of the Tata Mumbai Marathon has transformed into a large ecosystem in itself. It provides a powerful platform for corporates, NGOs, runners, and individual fundraisers for social good. This has strengthened our ties with civil society, and I wholeheartedly congratulate all fundraisers for taking a conscious step towards meaningful change. The entire team at United Way Mumbai led this pillar and continuously guided and strengthened the efforts of all our fundraisers, for which they deserve appreciation. Many may not realize this, but in the NGO world, fundraising costs often run as high as 50 to 60 percent. We have successfully reduced it to just 3.83 percent."

"Therefore, heartfelt thanks to United Way of Mumbai. It ensures that resources reach where they are most needed. That's why today, as you have heard, 309 NGOs use the Mumbai Marathon to raise awareness for fundraising."

Haseena Themal, a runner and coach who raised funds for the first time at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026, said, "Fundraising taught me that gaining trust and convincing people is much harder than running any distance, but with true intent, nothing is impossible. This journey helped me cross personal milestones and use the sport as a platform for a greater purpose for the country and for the nation."

"Fundraising at the Tata Mumbai Marathon brought my family together around our shared belief in community-driven change in mental health and rural development. This platform creates space for collective efforts that go beyond race day and strengthens causes through community participation," said Ira Khan, founder of Agatsu Foundation, a mental healthcare advocate, who fundraised for the first time at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026,

For Shanta Valluri Gandhi, founder of an independent advisory firm raising funds for the first time at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026, this experience was very personal. "This was my first time raising funds at TMM, and it challenged me to step out of my corporate comfort zone and directly ask friends for support. This experience proved that vulnerability and humility are essential for fundraising, and asking is often the most powerful first step."

For 15-year-old Rupesh Telam, who is raising funds for Asima Charitable Trust for the first time through the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026, the marathon is more than just a race. "It is an opportunity to step beyond my village of Igatpuri and be inspired by people showing determination and perseverance, and to carry that inspiration forward while chasing his dreams," he said.
