Mumbai–Goa Vande Bharat: Good News for Railway Passengers as Train Trips Increased

Indian Railways has given good news for passengers traveling to Konkan and Goa. The number of trips of the Vande Bharat Express between Mumbai and Goa has been increased.

The Indian Railways has given good news for passengers traveling to Konkan and Goa. The number of trips of the Vande Bharat Express between Mumbai and Goa has been increased. In response to the growing demand from passengers, the railways have not only increased the trips of this train but also the number of coaches.

One of the fastest and most modern trains in the country, the Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express will now run six days a week. Previously, due to the monsoon schedule, it operated only three days a week from June to October. However, from October 22 onwards, it will regularly run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. This train will stop at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, and Thivim railway stations and will reach Madgaon station (Goa) on the same day.

Train number 22229 CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express will now depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai at 5:25 AM every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday and will arrive at Madgaon Junction in Goa at 1:10 PM on the same day. The express will not run on Fridays.

For the return journey, train number 22230 Madgaon Junction-CSMT Vande Bharat Express will depart from Madgaon Junction at 2:40 PM every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday and will arrive at CSMT at 10:25 PM on the same day. The express will not run on Fridays.

During the monsoon, the Mumbai-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express used to take more than 10 hours to cover the same distance.

According to the railway, to accommodate the increasing passenger traffic, 16 coaches will be added to this train, making the journey more comfortable and convenient. This decision will provide great relief to thousands of passengers traveling between Mumbai, Konkan, and Goa.

Non-monsoon schedule from November 1

The official announcement has been made that the monsoon has ended. Therefore, as per the plan, the non-monsoon schedule will be implemented on the Konkan Railway from November 1. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Madgaon-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Vande Bharat Express on the Mumbai-Goa railway route is benefiting from a tremendous response from passengers. Currently, this train runs three days a week. With the new schedule effective from November 1, the Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week. A new option will be available for tourists traveling to Goa for the Diwali holidays and to welcome the New Year.

Meanwhile, the speed of 88 trains on a total of 44 routes, including the prestigious Hazrat Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express on Indian Railways, will be increased. This includes passenger favorites like Jan Shatabdi, Tejas, Duronto, Matsyagandha, Humsafar, Mandovi, Marusagar, Konkan Kanya, Tutari, and Goa Sampark Kranti. During the monsoon, the speed limit in the Konkan Railway division is 75 km/h. As a result, the speed limit in the Konkan Railway division is 75 km/h during the monsoon timetable. There is no such specific speed limit in the non-monsoon timetable. As a result, mail-express trains run according to the maximum speed regulations. On some sections of the Mumbai-Goa route, trains are approved to run at speeds of 100 to 120 km/h.
