The first flight from Navi Mumbai International Airport will take off on December 25, which is Christmas Day. The airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi a month ago. Now, inquiries are being made with travel agencies for ticket bookings. The flight schedule is also kept very convenient for passengers. Some flights will operate daily, while others will be on specific days. Flights to Delhi, Goa, and Kochi are available at various times from morning till night, allowing passengers to choose flights according to their convenience.
The demand to name the airport after the farmers' leader Di. Ba. Patil is from the locals. The state government sent a resolution to the center regarding this four years ago. There was an expectation that an announcement about Di's name would be made during the inauguration. However, that did not happen. As a result, the issue of naming after Di has been sidelined, and farmers and project-affected people are questioning why the representatives are remaining silent.
