Another train accident has occurred in Odisha. 11 coaches of the Kamakhya Express running between Bengaluru and Assam have derailed. All this has created chaos. The Bengaluru-Kamakhya Superfast Express train derailed in Odisha. 11 AC coaches of the train derailed, after which the routes of Neelachal Express, Dhauli Express, Purulia Express have been diverted.
Relief and rescue operations are underway at the scene. Medical teams, NDRF and fire brigade personnel are involved in the rescue operation. Efforts are being made to ensure that the stranded passengers reach their destination safely.
On the Kamakhya Express derailment incident, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "I have received information about the incident related to 12551 Kamakhya Express in Odisha. Assam CMO is in touch with the Odisha government and the Railways. We will contact all the affected people."
