In Brief
….Only then will India become a world guru
Major statement by Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat
Today, our people are not politically united
A two-day lecture series of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has been organized in Bengaluru. (RSS) On the first day today, Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat provided guidance. During this time, while praising the Sangh, he described it as the most unique organization in the world. Bhagwat also mentioned in his speech that the Sangh is involved in social service activities in many countries, including India.
Only when India teaches the world the principle of oneness will it become a global leader. While speaking about the similarities between ancient Indian knowledge and modern science, Bhagwat said that what our tradition calls 'Brahma' or 'God', science today refers to as 'Universal Consciousness'. He further stated that 'society is not governed solely by law but by social empathy. It is essential to continuously maintain a sense of oneness in society because this feeling of oneness works to bring society together,' he added.
Dr. Hedgewar, who founded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, participated in the freedom struggle. From a young age, he began welcoming British officers in his school by saying 'Vande Mataram'. Even then, Dr. Hedgewar encouraged people to say 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. This effort reflects his love for India. Hedgewar was a religious leader and social reformer.
Today, our people are not politically united. Common people should also be politically aware. Political awareness has given ordinary people the courage to say 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. Similarly, the Sangh participates in national events. However, it is not a political party. RSS is an organization of society, not an organization within society. Additionally, we should understand the Sangh. Many well-wishers of the Sangh portray it as a reaction to a specific situation. However, that is not the case. The Sangh did not arise from any reaction or protest. They also say that the Sangh exists to fulfill a necessary need of every society.
