A severe accident occurred late Thursday night near Navale Bridge in Pune city, resulting in the death of 8 people and injuries to 20 others. The scene turned horrific as many vehicles caught fire after the accident.
According to the initial information received, two containers and some cars collided with each other, after which one car caught fire. It has come to light that members of a family were traveling in that car. Police and fire brigade vehicles immediately reached the spot, and the fire has been brought under control.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital and are undergoing treatment. The police have stated that their condition is currently stable. Due to this accident, traffic in the Navale Bridge area was temporarily halted. Police investigation is underway to understand the cause of the incident.
